Sisterly Love

Growing up I was a very jealous child. I dispised my sisters' greatly, Not really sure why but I made sure when I had my second and third child that they knew they were loved and I tried my best to give them all the attention that I could. Now I watch my girls' and remember things or stories from my childhood. Some nice but MOST not so nice. Lol
My sister Becky was born 3 years and 1 day after me. She was in my eyes"the chosen child". Not really sure why i resented her so much. As adults she is my best friend so there is some good that came from it. I see so much of our relationship in that of my girls' Kiarra and Khyla. Khyla tries so hard to make her sister like her. At times if Khyla even breathes it annoys Kiarra. Then other times all you do is hear them laugh and play.
I have done many things to my sisters'. I pulled Becky's arm out of socket(pretty sure she earned that at some point), i used to cut her dolls' hair off, break the arms of the barbies, believe me the list could go on and on.Eventually at the age of 17,I moved out and Becky and I began to have a relationship. We even shared a birthday party. Yes we have shared parties before but they were FORCED.. lol
I remember going to bed at night and Becky would rub my head and sing. I would never admit it but I LOVED it and looked forward to it every night.
Watching my girls' interact with each other brings back many memories. I now know what to look out for, when to interfere, and when to just relax.
My darling Khyla was watching tv with me on the couch. Kiarra was sitting in a little plastic chair. Khyla got up and pulled the chair out from underneath Kiarra and then went back to the couch to finish watching TV. I sat half shocked and half proud. Not proud that she was mean to her sister, but proud that it really is genetics and not so much upbringing sometimes that make children function the way they do. I was proud just to know that no matter how much they fight and pick on each other, one day they will be best friends..
